Attorney Neal E. Bartlett
Neal's personal interest in law came early in life when he was named trustee of a family member's trust. Unfortunately, he learned first-hand the strain legal matters place on a family, particular when an unskilled attorney is involved. That experience drove Neal to pursue law school and a career providing clients with a significantly better experience when they need legal assistance for their family. Originally from Simi Valley, California, Neal moved to Carpinteria in 2009, where his family has deep ties to the community. He earned a Bachelor’s degree with honors from California Lutheran University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon School of Law where he served as an editor on the Oregon Law Review. Neal learned how to build trust through his own experience and by serving clients with excellence. He listens to his clients, understands their needs, and never recommends things that will cost them more money than necessary. Island View Law offers free consultations to our clients so they don’t have to worry about legal fees right out of the gate. In 2016, Neal was certified by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as a Specialist in Estate Planning, Trusts, and Probate. This certification recognizes that he can lend expert advice and unique insights to his clients that may be hard to find elsewhere. Neal is deeply tied to his local community, serving as a board member and board president of several non-profit and special districts, including the Carpinteria Lions Club (President in 2018-19), HELP of Carpinteria (President in 2014-15, 2018-19, 2023-24), Carpinteria Community Association, and the Carpinteria Valley Cemetery District (President in 2022-23). Outside of his work, Mr. Bartlett’s interests include travel, struggling with his golf game, spending time with his friends and family, and trying to keep up with his young beagle, Oakley.
